On March 11, 2019, it was alleged that in 2015 and 2016, Jung had secretly filmed his own sexual encounters with at least 10 women, then shared the videos with friends in chat groups. The allegations surfaced during a police investigation into Seungri for allegedly providing prostitution services, and resulted in Jung being investigated as well. The following day, Jung retired from the entertainment industry, admitting to crimes that he had "filmed women without their consent and shared it in a chatroom".
